Just so you know, Hajime No Ippo tells the life story of a boy named Makunouchi Ippo. Well, there’s a reason for everything, right? Just like that, Makunouchi Ippo also has a reason why he desperately wants to learn boxing.
Makunouchi Ippo was always a weak child and was always caught as prey. When others bullied Makunouchi Ippo, he couldn’t contain himself and this made Makunouchi Ippo very angry. He’s mostly frustrated with himself for always asking others to protect him from such situations, even though it’s not his fault.
One of Makunouchi Ippo’s acquaintances, Takamura Mamoru, is a boxer. One day, when Makunouchi Ippo lost consciousness from being bullied, it was Takamura Mamoru who saved him again. This is not the first time Makunouchi Ippo has been saved by him, but this time is different.
First of all, Makunouchi Ippo feels like the boxing area is really vibrant and exciting for a reason. And that’s where he regained his consciousness, so it lingered in his head for quite some time.
It was just the little push that Makunouchi Ippo needed. And Takamura Mamoru did just that. He told Makunouchi Ippo to punch the sandbag as hard as he could and vent his pent-up anger. Although Makunouchi Ippo was a bit hesitant at first, all of his anger came out that day. And this is how the story begins.
Previously on Hajime No Ippo Chapter 1430: Summary
Earlier in Hajime No Ippo Chapter 1430, titled ‘Two People With No Destination’, we saw that the guy called Death has returned. No one knew about his past until this Chapter gave us hindsight.
Ryō Mashiba has a dark past, and with all due respect, this chapter is clearly dedicated and sacrificed to his story. It all started when Ryō Mashiba couldn’t even remember what happened. He doesn’t know if he can move forward with his sister, Kumi Mashiba, like this.
Kumi Mashiba’s brother, Ryō Mashiba, is just trying to figure out why their father signed any of those contracts. For it is they who are now suffering because of all the debts their father left them. Insurance is no longer available.
Ryō Mashiba is too young to understand the terms that go with things in the real world. He doesn’t know how things work in the real world but has to learn all that without any help or money while taking care of his little sister.
There are people scamming him in the name of handling his money and giving him space to live just because Ryō Mashiba and his sister live alone.
Just to make money and make a living, Ryō Mashiba has dabbled in bad things. He joined a gang where at first he was just asked to show up and he would get paid. But then, after a few rounds, he was asked to clean up the mess the thugs would make.
During Kumi Mashiba’s admission, although Ryō Mashiba could take care of everything now, her school didn’t want to be associated with Ryō Mashiba and his sister just because they heard rumors about him. This also became a reason for people to cut ties with Ryō Mashiba.
