The previously announced two-part Haikyu final film has revealed details about the first installment, including the logo, plot details, and title. The film, although without an official English title, has the same Japanese title as Haikyu!! Gomisuteba no Kessen –The Dumpster Battle, is the 294th chapter of the manga. The film will deal with the highly anticipated clash between team Karasuno and Nekoma. The films will be direct sequels to the fourth season. Production IG will do animation for the movies

In addition to the final films, Production IG also animated the television anime adaptation of the Haikyu (stylized as Haikyu!!) series. The first season aired in 2014, followed by a sequel that began in the fall of 2015 and ended in the winter of 2016, after 25 episodes. Part 3, titled Haikyu!! Karasuno High School vs Shiratorizawa Academy had 10 episodes that aired during Fall 2016. Haikyu!! Riku vs Kuu OVA serves as its sequel. The latest season of the Haikyuu!! To the Top aired in two waves – the first in Winter 2020 and the second in Fall 2020. Haikyu is based on a manga by Haruichi Furudate that was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2012 to 2020. The manga ended after 405 chapters, compiled into 45 volumes. Viz Media has licensed the English version and describes the plot as follows:
