The television anime Grand Blue Season 2 was announced 6 years after the end of Season 1. The announcement was made at a special radio program to commemorate the manga's 10th anniversary. The main staff from the first season will return, including Shinji Takamatsu as director, screenwriter and sound director, and Hideoki Kusama as character designer and animation director. Studios ZERO-G and Liber will handle the animation.
A teaser image was also released, featuring all the main cast celebrating.

Grand Blue Dreaming, also known as Grand Blue, is a Japanese manga series written by Kenji Inoue and illustrated by Kimitake Yoshioka. It was serialized in Good! Afternoon magazine since April 2014. The first anime television series animated by Zero-G, running from July to September 2018. Yoshioka drew a special illustration to commemorate the announcement about the next part:

Kodansha has licensed the manga in English. The story follows Iori Kitahara, who moves to a seaside town after graduating from an all-male high school. He ends up working at his uncle's diving shop, while also getting really interested in some pretty crazy senpai. He will go through an alcohol-filled college life, making many friends while making everyone laugh at the madness of their adventures.
