Golden Mage Chapter 22 Summary

Chapter 22 of the Golden Mage opens with a conversation between King Ledolph and Sir Ellmis. They are talking about the Manticore Valley. Lord Ellmis wanted to take care of the Manticore Valley for the King. It seemed that King couldn’t believe what he was hearing about Ellmis.

According to him, Manticore Valley is the land of the dead. No one can get there safely. But Ellmis was confident in herself and her magic skills. He could even handle the situation within three years. But first, he must know the number of monsters there.

The last time, the king saw ten thousand beasts attack the Kingdom last year. And King could guess the number of beasts in the Manticore Valley, perhaps fifty thousand.

Sir Ellmis is a top level magician that can handle numbers. He was the only one in the whole Kingdom who could do it for the king. But it took a while for him. The artwork showing the beasts getting ready for the attack is beautiful.

Later in the Chapter, we find out that the King is now happy that Lord Ellmis is ready to go to the Manticore Valley and save the Kingdom for the King. The upcoming dashboard shows Ellmis using her magical powers to form beautiful blue crystals. Also from that — we learn that Ellmis is a 7th rank mage. Plus, he has the Golem Knight with him.

From their conversation, we discover that Ellmis can do anything, and King begs to save the Kingdom. Before leaving the place, Ellsim thanked the King for inviting him. Later in this Chapter we find out that Ellmis is seventeen years old.

Now the dashboard focuses on the beautiful Manticore Valley. Some beasts are willing to take care of anyone who invades this area. This place is under the control of Manticore King, who resembles a lion with wings. And there is a red jewel on the King’s head. The next few boards of this Chapter are all about the Manticore King and his powers.

It seems the Manticore beasts have invaded the Kingdom. Captain Myder is ready to take care of them himself. Then we witness the bloody battle between Manticore and the soldiers. Captain Myder and his soldiers kill all the Manticore beasts.

But they kept coming, and all the soldiers looked tired and had no strength left to fight any other beasts. It seemed like the victory was going to the monsters, then suddenly Kaina came to help them. Now Sir Ellmis, Kaina and Captain Myder are fighting.
