Jujutsu Kaisen Manga creator Gege Akutami recently shared his thoughts on the 9th volume of Jujutsu Kaisen season 2, airing on September 22, 2023, and praised the adaptation and solid standout moments.
In his comments, Akutami expressed his admiration for Gojo Satoru’s role in the episode, mentioning that he is cooler and scarier in the anime than in the manga.
Another standout moment that Akutami highlights is when Jogo, a cursed spirit, appears from a cloud of smoke and regenerates his arm. He described the scene as cool and it made him laugh.

Gojo is cooler and scarier in the manga!! The moment Jogo stepped out of the smoke and his arm grew back so cool, I actually laughed. And the lip-syncing was perfect. I was so excited!!
Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 releases on July 6, 2023 and will take place over two consecutive courses.
The second part of the season begins airing on August 31, 2023.
Tatsuya Kitani will perform the opening theme song “Ao no Sumika”, while Soushi Sakiyama will perform the ending theme song “Akari”.
Jujutsu Kaisen is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. The story is currently being serialized on Weekly Shonen Jump by Shueisha as of March 2018. Chapters Jujutsu Kaisen collected and published by Shueisha, with 23 tankobon volumes released as of July 2023.
Season 1 of MAPPA’s anime adaptation aired from October 2020 to March 2021.
Film adapted from Jujutsu Kaisen prequel, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 launches in Japan in December 2021.
