BL comedy series Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!! is getting a TV anime adaptation, it was announced today. Details about the studio and staff have not been revealed. Original author Syundei drew a commemorative illustration to celebrate the news:

Originally published from 2014 to 2017, Go for It, Nakamura! The manga follows Okuto Nakamura, a high school student who has feelings for Aiki Hirose. Hirose is his classmate, but the two have never really talked, and Nakamura spends his time daydreaming about potential situations they might encounter. The manga was serialized in Akane Shinsha's josei Opera magazine. Seven Seas Entertainment is licensing it in English. Seven Seas Entertainment also licensed a sequel manga, Go for It Again, Nakamura!, which was serialized from 2017 to 2021. The series has two volumes in total.

Nakamura falls in love at first sight with his classmate, Hirose–but there's just one problem: they haven't actually met…and Nakamura is a complete idiot who could ruin things before they even start!
In addition to the anime announcement, the Go for It, Nakamura! manga will also get a new print edition on August 16 in Japan.
Syundei is known for the BL (Boys'Love) title Total Eclipse of the Eternal Heart and many anthologies like Retro BL.
