The anime premiered on April 5 and aired 13 episodes. Toei Animation released the anime in English digitally in North America on August 13.
Indonesian streaming service Catchplay+ began streaming the anime on May 31 with both Indonesian and English subtitles, making it the first service in the world to have official English subtitles available for the anime. Thai distributor Cartoon Club announced in late June that it would begin streaming the anime in July, and that the anime would have a Thai dub, making this streaming the first international dub announced for the title.
Toei Animation describes the anime:
The main character dropped out of high school in her second year and aims to go to college while working alone in Tokyo. One girl was betrayed by her friends and doesn't know what to do. Another girl was abandoned by her parents and tries to survive in the city by working part-time jobs. This world always disappoints us. Nothing goes as planned. But we want something we can continue to love. We believe that there is a place where we belong. That's why we sing.
Kazuo Sakai (Love Live! Sunshine!!, Mushi-Uta) directed the anime at Toei Animation. Jukki Hanada (Love Live! Sunshine!!) is in charge of series composition. nari Teshima designed the characters. Mari Kondō and Jae Hoon Jung are the CGI directors. Kenji Tamai (agehasprings, Sing”Yesterday”for Me, Samurai Flamenco) composed the music. Yūsuke Tanaka (agehasprings) is credited for musical accompaniment.
Update: The anime's official X (formerly Twitter) account later confirmed that this game is for smartphones. Thanks, otakuarunava.
