The Japanese-French co-production Ghost Cat Anzu has received a trailer and key art ahead of its July 19 theatrical release in Japan.
Munetaka Aoki, Miwako Ichikawa, Keiichi Suzuki, Shingo Mizusawa and Shohei Uno Also announced were additional cast members, while Chiaki “Matatabi” by Sato was revealed to be the film's theme song.

Ghost Cat Anzu is based on the manga by Takashi Imashirowas serialized from 2006 to 2007 in Kodansha's Comic Bon Bon and collected into a tankoubon volume. Miyu Productions Describe the film using rotoscoping as:
Eleven-year-old Karin is abandoned by her father at the home of her grandfather, a monk in a small town in rural Japan. Her grandfather asks Anzu, a cheerful and helpful though erratic ghost cat, to take care of her. The meeting of their powerful characters causes sparks, at least in the beginning…
Ghost Cat Anzu will be part of the 2024 Director's Fortnight lineup in Cannes.
