Yoshiko Shikimura's novel Ganbatte Ikimasshoi is being adapted into an anime film and is scheduled to hit theaters in Japan on October 25. A trailer and images were released as part of the announcement:

Studios Moe and Reirs is animating the film under the direction of Yuhei Sakuragi. Yuhei Sakuragi and Keiichiro Ochi are responsible for writing the script, and Asako Nishida is designing the characters. The main cast includes:
- Sora Amamiya as Eiko Murakami
- Miku Ito plays Hime Saeki
- Rie Takahashi plays Riina Takahashi
- Akari Kito as Miyoko Hyodo
- Ikumi Hasegawa plays Mayumi Inomoto

The novel Ganbatte Ikimasshoi was first published by Magazine House in 1996 before being republished by Gentosha in 2005. The title first saw a live-action film adaptation in 1998 titled Give it All. Itsumichi Isomura directed the film with Rena Tanaka and Ren Osugi as some of the main actors. It later had a live-action Japanese television series created by Kaneko Arisa and produced by Shigemitsu Keiichi. The live-action version ran for 10 episodes from July to September 2005.
The film tells the story of an all-female rowing team.
This is the latest directorial work from Yuhei Sakuragi, who directed the original anime adaptation of Niantic's Ingress game, released in fall 2018. Sakuragi's other works include Ashita Sekai ga Owaru toshitemo (2019), Artiswitch (2021) and Soutai Sekai (2017).
