Four years ago, Ghost of Tsushima took the gaming world by storm thanks to its compelling storyline, innovative gameplay, and just a little bit of luck to win the title of “Game of the Year”. Although it sadly lost to The Last of Us Part 2, according to fans, Ghost of Tsushima is a much more deserving name. And four years after the triumphant debut of Jin Sakai and his friends, Ghost of Tsushima is preparing to launch its second part.
If the first game was set on Tsushima Island and an expanded map took gamers to Iki Island, its sequel will take place at Mount Yotei.
So it's understandable that the name of Ghost of Tsushima part 2 will be Ghost of Yotei. This project was also just confirmed and revealed at Sony's recent State of Play event. Taking place in 1603, hundreds of years after the first game, Ghost of Yotei focuses on a completely new protagonist in a completely different conflict. It's not known what the game's plot will be, but through the short trailer, it seems that our protagonist is being hunted by the entire ronin world.
The game's developer himself also confirmed that the core of Ghost of Tsushima's success will remain the same.
Players continue to play the role of a wandering warrior in feudal Japan, with enough freedom to explore and, of course, the open world created is also extremely magnificent. In addition, there are countless things for gamers to look forward to such as new weapons, new combat mechanics, especially when everyone saw a gun at the end of the trailer.
There is no official release date for this blockbuster yet, but Ghost of Yotei is expected to reach gamers in 2025.
