Nine new voice actors will be joining the upcoming original anime film Fureru., all of whom previously played the “youth trio” of Super Peace Busters.
Additional voice cast, all in undisclosed roles, include:
• Ai Kayano (Menma in Anohana) • Takahiro Sakurai (Yukiatsu in Anohana) • Mutsumi Tamura (Young Jintan in Anohana) ) • Asami Seto (Young Yukiatsu in Anohana) • Aki Toyosaki (Young Poppo in Anohana) • Mitsuru Ogata (Atsushi Yadomi in Anohana) • Inori Minase (Jun Naruse in The Anthem of the Heart) • Koki Uchiyama (Takumi Sakagami in The Anthem of the Heart) • Shion Wakayama (Aoi Aioi in Her Blue Sky) © 2024 FURERU PROJECT
The newly added actors have all previously voiced works by the Super Peace Busters creative team such as Anohana, The Anthem of the Heart, and Her Blue Sky.
Meanwhile, the main voice cast includes:
• Ren Nagase as Aki Onoda • Ryota Bando as Ryo Sobue • Kentaro Maeda as Yuta Inohara • Haruka Shiraishi as Juri Kamozawa • Manaka Iwami as Nana Asakawa • Sarutoki Minagawa as Wakita • Kenjiro Tsuda as Kohei Shimada
Super Peace Busters includes film director Tatsuyuki Nagai (A Some Scientific Railgun T), screenwriter Mari Okada (Maboroshi and Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms, director and screenwriter), character designer and chief animation director Masayoshi Tanaka (Suzume, Darling in the Franxx). They all take on similar roles for Fureru., along with Masaru Yokoyama (Tsurune) and TeddyLoid as a film composer.

The series follows childhood friends Aki, Ryo, and Yuuta, who develop psychic powers after encountering a mysterious hedgehog-like creature they call Fureru, part of the local folklore of their home island.
