Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, which started as a manga in April 2020, has quickly become a popular manga. familiar name in the anime and manga community. Thanks to the enormous popularity of the anime series that ended its first season not long ago, sales of the Frieren manga have doubled.

It's not unheard of before for main characters in anime series to not come out on top. My Hero AcadeKaren's main character, Deku, consistently ranks 2nd or 3rd in official popularity polls.
Frieren, on the other hand, came in 1st when only single votes were counted. In case you don't know, anime/manga popularity polls often allow fans to freely vote an unlimited number of times.
