Episode 13 begins with Frieren saving Sein from the swamp after some scolding from Fern. As they leave, Stark is bitten by a snake so they have to go to Sein’s village to heal him.
On the way, they hear of Sein’s magical abilities, so Frieren decides to recruit him. But things didn’t go so easily because he was difficult to convince.
When they try to convince him to join their group one last time, he explains his reasons for not leaving, which angers his brother.
As they sort things out, he joins Frieren’s group when they reach their destination.

The next episode starts with Fern and Stark fighting because Fern didn’t wish Fern a happy birthday. Fern takes advice from Sein on the matter as they patch up.
The next day, Frieren’s group will take a carriage to the next town. Suddenly, the carriage was lifted up by a monster.
As they were about to go down, Frieren messed up and they all fell. But they tried to complete it completely.
