The anime sequel of Destiny Franchising, Fate/strange fabrication -Whispers of Dawn- coming soon. With a franchise as large and complex as Fate, it can be difficult to grasp the relationship of each individual entry to any other and what you need to know before watching. Fortunately, Fate/strange Fake seems to be relatively self-contained, although it does appear to be inverting the typical Fate formula.
Most of the Fate anime focus on the Holy Grail War. These are magical conflicts in which different masters summon historical or mythical servants to fight for them until one is left. This winner will then receive a wish from the Holy Grail. A typical Holy Grail War will consist of a group of six servants, each serving in a specific segment of Saber, Archer, Lancer, Assassin, Caster, and Rider. However, some anime have changed this formula, such as Fate/Apocrypha, which featured a Holy Grail War between 12 servants. Fate/strange Fake looks like it will modify this formula even more.

While it may seem like technical fans can look at Fate/strange Fake as their introduction to the franchise, there are other entries they should watch to fully enjoy. Fate/Zero is the most important entry to watch as it introduces the characters Gilgamesh and Waver, both of whom appear in Fate/strange Fake. Seeing routes adapted from the Fate/stay Night visual novels such as Unlimited Blade Works and Heaven’s Feel will also be important as it shows the outcome of the final Holy Grail War that preceded Fate/strange Fake. Fate/Grand Order – Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia, based on the Fate gacha game, is also great to watch as it shows the relationship between Enkidu and Gilgamesh, who is supposed to play the main role in Fate/strange Fake.
For more optional Easter Eggs and insight into some of the characters, fans can check out Fate/Apocrypha, which features an alternate version of one of Fate/Strange Fake’s servants. Fate/strange story details
Fate/strange Fake will be adapted from the light novel of the same name. And if it doesn’t have a happy ending, hopefully A-1 Studios (the studio behind Fate/strange Fake as well as other popular franchises like Sword Art Online) will use this special as a prologue to the series. a larger series of films.
