Castlevania: Nocturne season 2 renewal status
On October 6, just a week after the series debuted on Netflix, the movie became official confirmed that Castlevania: Nocturne will return with part 2.
The renewal announcement included an introductory video and read: “Castlevania: Nocturne SEASON 2 is OFFICIALLY in production. Thank you to all the fans – new and returning – who have been following Castlevania: Nocturne. If you haven’t tried this movie yet, now is your time.”
A second season of Castlevania: Nocturne is definitely on the cards considering the dramatic episode 8 finale and the return of everyone’s favorite vampire grandfather, Alucard.
Swooping in to save the world On this day, hundreds of years after we last saw him, Alucard issues an ominous threat to Drolta’s remaining minions, who seek to end the lineage Belmont: “If you fight me, you will die, like thousands of vampires before you. ”
Richter questions Alucard, who immediately senses the resemblance between our hero and his old friend from centuries ago: “You must be Richter Belmont. Complete with whip. Um. And on the verge of complete failure. I hope I’m not too late.”
When Castlevania: Nocturne returns for a second season, there are a lot of directions the story could go considering Alucard’s return, Olrox still free, and the fact that poor Tera has now been captured by Erzsebet-one of the most powerful villains in the vampire-turned-series to date.

Season 2 will likely see Alucard joining forces with the Belmonts once again to try and take down Olrox and the Vampire Queen Erzsebet, before the latter can carry out his plans for world domination.
Since the show is also based on the Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night video games: with the season 1 finale where the show ended, there’s still a lot of source material that could serve as inspiration for a second season .
More good news is that the initial reviews and feedback for Castlevania: Nocturne have been fantastic, with a score of 9.1/10 on IMDB and many critical responses of 9/10.
Coupled with the fact that Netflix has ordered four seasons of the main Castlevania series, the streaming giant will have the highest confidence that the spinoff can maintain a similar fan base for many years. It’s only a matter of time before Castlevania: Nocturne season 2 is announced.
What date can Castlevania: Nocturne season 2 release?
While Castlevania: Nocturne has been publicly renewed for season 2, there’s no official word yet on an expected release date for the hit series, but we can make some early predictions. head based on production cycle part 1.
Castlevania: Nocturne’s release was revealed by Deadline in April 2021, with Netflix officially confirming the title in June 2022 during the streamer’s Geeked Week event.
Assuming that season 2 of the new Castlevania spinoff maintains a similar production cycle, fans could see Nocturne return to our screens as soon as Fall 2024.
However, there may be a limiting factor: Powerhouse Studios’ current production schedule. The team is working on Monsters of the Universe: Revolution and Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft (both of which were revealed at Drop 01), as well as new titles Dark Lights and Heaven’s Forest.
If Powerhouse Studios has to shelve Castlevania: Nocturne to accommodate the expanded schedule, don’t be surprised if we don’t see the show return until late 2024 or early 2025. The main Castlevania series has already released installments just between one and two years after the last time.
