Fairy Tail 2, the upcoming anime action game, has now revealed its first full trailer, along with its release date on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The title has also announced the collectibles and pre-order bonuses that will come with the game.
PlayStation's official YouTube channel has uploaded a new trailer for Fairy Tail 2, which will be Released on December 13, 2024. Unlike the previous announcement video, this is the first full trailer for the game, showcasing all of the new gameplay additions, such as new playable characters, special attacks, and teamwork-based action sequences. More importantly, the new Fairy Tail 2 game includes the final anime storyline featuring Spriggan 12. Zeref Dragneel, Natsu Dragneel's older brother, leads a group of villains against the Fairy Tail hero guild.
Fairy Tail 2 Will Include the Anime's Spriggan 12 Storyline Along With Original Game Scenes
This new two-minute trailer shows off the vast Kingdom of Fiore. Publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Gust promise that players will be able to explore the game world seamlessly, so they can fully immerse themselves in the “Alvarez” storyline without being constantly bothered by loading times. However, a new original story for the game will also be available that takes place right after the last one, showing the aftermath of the epic battle (along with some fun moments in the sun).
Players will once again be able to control some of the series' most popular characters, such as Natsu and the Celestial Mage, Lucy Heartfilia, and many more. All playable characters, new and old, aren't just there to fight; gamers can also develop deeper relationships with their companions through fully voiced dialogue stories in the game's many campfire areas. New character episodes will be unlocked as players progress through the game and upgrade their characters.
Pre-order Fairy Tail 2 includes Special Edition and Early Bird Bonus Items
Multiple versions of Fairy Tail 2 are now available for pre-order. The Guild Box included in the special editions of the game includes the Sorcerer Magazine Special Issue: Game Release Edition Vol. 2, Special Shikishi with Holographic Finish (three varieties), Original Soundtrack CD, Original Illustration B2 Cloth Poster, and of course the standard version of the game. The Digital Deluxe Edition—available to digital buyers as a DLC-only upgrade package—includes alternate costumes for the game’s female protagonists based on Reisalin “Ryza” Stout’s outfits from the Atelier Ryza video game, also developed by Gust. Early purchase bonuses include the “Miss FAIRY TAIL Contest” costume for Lucy, while the digital pre-order bonus gives Natsu his “Natsu of Edolas” costume.
Fairy Tail 2 is coming this December. The next installment in the action-RPG series will be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The new TV anime, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest, is now streaming on Crunchyroll. The original Fairy Tail anime is also available on Crunchyroll and Hulu.
