Fairy Tail: 100 Year Quest 16
フェアリーテイル 100年クエスト
Summary/SPOILER Summary:
When the Seed Wolfen faced Naruto transformed into Zeref, he discovered that his desire to protect Aldoron was causing him harm. As a result, Wolfen will exclude itself from combat, including all of its clones. As a result, Nat was pulled into Aldoron's body. Meanwhile, the god Seed Metro appears, summoning giant tree warriors to fight Lucy, Gray, Juvia, Cana, Gajeel, Elfman, Mirajane and a host of others.
Elsewhere, Laxus, carrying an unconscious Erza, meets Jellal. They must face the god Seed Gears. Jellal sends Laxus to take Erza to safety. Still elsewhere, Happy, Wendy, carrying the unconscious White Mage, and Charle (Carla), carrying the unconscious Touka, face the god Seed Doom. Wendy doesn't have the power to attack. Charle then transformed into human form and attacked, only to be encased in spores with a five-petaled flower on his head.
Inside Aldoron, the god Seed Aldoron appeared before Naruto. After immediately injuring Naruto, he revealed that while the dragon Aldoron slept to recover from his loss to Acnologia, he allowed the human to cling to him. So, as he ate human flesh, he grew in size and strength. So, to contain his powers while he recovered, he created the Divine Seeds, sealing them inside orbs in each town.
Meanwhile, a large group of weaker Fairy Tail members appear to support Wendy. After explaining the situation, Wendy used the last of her power to strengthen them. Thus, they were finally able to defeat Doom, freeing Charles. This made the Seed god Aldoron extremely worried. He tries to destroy Natsu but fails. Naruto noticed that Aldoron was now weaker than before.
Thoughts/Review:
Well, it's time for new enemies to fight and Low-level Fairies Follow the members for a chance to shine in Fairy Tail: 100 Year Quest 16.
New enemies and Nakama powers!
As usual in this series, we are introduced to a new group of enemies in Fairy Tail: 100 Year Quest 16. I was wondering how Naruto making Wolfen create a Zeref clone didn't backfire. And now I know. I remember Zeref had an uncontrollable destructive power that killed everything around him. I don't remember the curse growing stronger for those Zeref cared about. Regardless, when Wolfen eliminated himself and all his clones, did that mean Wolfen essentially committed suicide?
I suppose the next episode will show how the Seeds Metro and Gears gods are dealt with. However, we met the god Seed Doom. You must “love” an enemy who does not actually kill the opponent immediately for “reasons”. So basically Doom sets a five minute clock to kill Charle giving some minor Fairy Tail members a chance to show off their nakama powers! It's silly, but for what it is, it's fine.
A little more interesting is the Seed god Aldoron, who acts as the forest dragon's brain. However, I can't help but think that having these new enemies means they're not actually dealing with the dragon. It's a cheap way for Fairy Tail to defeat an enemy that's nearly impossible to fight due to its enormous size (like a small mountain with five cities on it). Seed Aldoron gives us some gruesome yet interesting lore that I appreciate.
That said, I'm waiting for Diabolos to return now that the two God Seeds have been destroyed. Or maybe they will arrive after the last one has been killed, leaving behind only a weakened dragon mountain.
Final thoughts and conclusion
In the ending, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest 16 definitely very interesting. But there are clichés done in the name of plot to prevent the main character from getting killed. Also, the humorous opening makes things different, even though it made me laugh.
