There are many powerful and complex techniques in Jujutsu Kaisen, but one of the most powerful is the Heavenly Pact. From Domain Expansion to Reverse Engineering, there’s no shortage of entertaining powers resulting in Jujutsu Kaisen having one of the best power systems in anime. The exciting and rare technique Heavenly Pact has given several characters incredible powers and made them some of the most powerful sorcerers in the series.
There are as many manifestations of cursed energies as there are sorcerers and cursed spirits. There is no limit to how simple or absurd the powers can be in Jujutsu Kaisen. Perhaps the most intriguing power is the Heavenly Pact. The Heavenly Pacts give the user incredible power but receive something of equal value in return. The more energy it provides, the more it is needed. There are only 3 people known to have this power throughout the series, and each ranks among the strongest fighters of the series.
Maki Zenin
Maki Zenin is a second-year student at Jujutsu High in Tokyo. Although she is currently a Level Four witch, she is being promoted to become a Level One Wizard. Only the strongest are honored at that level, and she certainly is. The Heavenly Pact grants her extraordinary physical strength. Unfortunately, however, it comes at a high cost as she has a very low level of cursed energy. She can’t even see spirits without the help of glasses. Because of this, she was shunned by her clan and considered weak. However, she is far from achieving that as Maki has always been one of the strongest fighters at Jujutsu High, and that is no small accomplishment.
Toji Fushiguro
Toji is the main antagonist of Gojo’s Past Arc and Megumi’s father. He is the only person to have ever come close to defeating Jujutsu Kaisen’s strongest sorcerer, Gojo. His Heavenly Pact is identical to Maki’s, however, he is much stronger and faster than her. This is because, unlike Maki who still has some cursed energy left, he doesn’t have any. He is the most physically gifted person on the show. Just like Maki, he uses cursed weapons, but he also uses cursed souls to store many weapons. He was also shunned by the Zenin Clan despite being very powerful and changed his surname to Fushiguro.
Kokichi Muta
Commonly known as Mechamaru, Kokichi’s Treaty of Heaven is the harshest of all. His body was extremely weak and he felt extreme pain at the slightest touch. He isolates himself from the outside world to avoid direct exposure to sunlight and moonlight, both of which also make him vulnerable. During the Heavenly Pact, he received an incredible amount of cursed energy. His puppet manipulation techniques have a wide range of puppet manipulation, extending to the entire Japanese island. After making a deal with Mahito and Getou, he finally gets a healthy body in Episode 6 of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2.
The Heavenly Pact has bestowed extreme powers on several characters on the show. Each of those characters has become one of the most powerful witches and curse users, leading to some incredible fight scenes. What makes Thien Hiep so interesting and even scary is that it is so unpredictable. It can either give the witch a weak power and not gain much benefit, or it will make them powerful and ruin their lives as was the case with Kokichi. This was also very ironic because it took away the curse energy of two people from a family where curse energy was king. Jujutsu Kaisen The Heavenly Pacts all show that some people are willing to go to gain power.
