Mobile SuitGundam SEED Freedom will debut in theaters in Japan at the end of January 2024 and Sunrise is preparing many exhibitions in preparation for the film’s release. The exhibition mainly displays items related to characters and Mobile Suits from the Gundaim SEED spin-off series.

The first exhibition will be titled “Y2K Sunrise Mecha Exhibition,” and will take place at Bandai Namco Cross Store Tokyo in Ikebukuro’s Sunshine City from December 23, 2023, to February 25, 2024. This exhibition will not only showcase the first Subway SEED, Destiny and Stargazer. It will also celebrate many other mecha anime shows from the 2000s, including Zegapain, Wings of Rean, Argento Soma, Overman King Gainer, and Zone of the Enders,i’s 2167 Idolo and Dolores.
Bandai Spirits will hold another exhibition at Tamashii Nations Store Tokyo in Akihabara from January 18, 2024, to March 10, 2024. Unlike the first exhibition, this exhibition will be entirely dedicated to gundam SEED spin-off line. It will also feature the new Metal Robot Spirits action figures of FreedomGundam and JusticeGundam in “realistic colors” instead.
Finally, Animate will hold the “Mobile Suit Gunma SEED Freedom Animate Fair Release Celebration” at stores across Japan from January 26, 2024—the same day the film debuted in Japan—to February 25, 2024. Shops will sell merchandise and give away bonus items featuring Kira, Lacus, Athrun, Cagalli, Shinn, Lunamaria, Yzak, and Dearka during the event.
Mobile Suit Gunma SEED Freedom will make its first appearance in Japanese theaters on January 26, 2024. Takanori Nishikawa’s new song “Freedom” will be the film’s theme song.
