Warning: Dragon Ball Super Chapter #94 Content Revealed Super Dragon BallThe superhero movie finally offered an explanation for one of the film’s larger plot holes, through its prequel chapters. The plot hole itself focuses on Dr. Hedo realizing the Super Saiyan transformation.
In the movie, when Gohan becomes a Super Saiyan while fighting Gamma 1, to keep up with the robot’s relentless stamina. Dr. Hedo recognizes Super Saiyan state when Gohan uses it, despite having no apparent connection to the Saiyans and is only shown a distant, low-resolution video of Future Trunks. While it may not have affected the film’s story, the scene did leave some fans a bit disgruntled. However, the latest manga chapter gives a clear explanation and it depends on the special prequel chapters added earlier.
Dr. Hedo has seen Super Saiyans from Goten and Trunks
In chapter 90, the third prequel, Goten and Trunks are battling a dinosaur robot alongside Krillin in their “Saiyaman X-1” and “X-2” characters. When they delivered the final blow, both young warriors became Super Saiyans, right in front of Dr. Hedo. In chapter 94, Dr. Hedo’s dialogue was changed slightly from the film, noting that he had seen this transformation before, alluding to that particular scene from chapter 90. This chapter also explains how Dr. Hedo was captured in the first place. he was already in prison at the start of the movie. It even suggests that some aspects of the look and feel of Gamma 1 and Gamma 2 are based on Goten and Trunks’ Saiyaman skins.
One can’t help but wonder if this prequel was written before the movie came out; while Saiyaman’s plot isn’t well connected to the rest of the series, it will share a thematic connection to superheroes, just like here. It is possible that prequel chapters based on scenes originally planned for the film were cut at some point (probably very early on), but the concepts were repurposed for use in the film. these prequels. Of course, it’s also possible that these were created after the fact, as it seems on the surface, or even a combination of both the original concept and the one cut from the movie.
While the plot hole in the overall story plan wasn’t terribly important in the end, it’s great that this manga adaptation has come back and explained it. It demonstrates the attention to detail that a less invested creator might not have in their work and demonstrates that Super Dragon Ball are in good hands, even throughout this story adaptation.
