New Goku trailer and Akira Toriyama character artwork revealed for Dragon Ball Daima
Dragon Ball fans were given some important updates about Daima, the latest anime installment of the franchise, at Dragon Ball Battle Hour 2024.
The exhibition also features Icarus, Gohan’s dragon friend, which was released this month. Icarus was introduced in Dragon Ball Z: The Tree of Might, with Toyotarou adding, “This is my drawing of what Gohan’s childhood friend looks like now. I hope he’s still doing well, living on Mt. Paoz.” Although Turles’ image first debuted in April 2023, its inclusion in the exhibition and Dragon Ball Super’s reintroduction of old villains like Broly and the Red Ribbon Army suggest a good opportunity that the forgotten Saiyan will return.
The Toyotarou story featuring Turles could be a continuation of DBZ: Tree of Might
Like Icarus, Turles debuted in Dragon Ball Z: The Tree of Might. Throughout the film, he and Gohan share many important moments. Turles’ appearance is meant to show a world where Saiyans never came to Earth and instead grew up as cold warriors. With Gohan’s beast form being hyped in the latest Super chapter, this will be a great opportunity to test his mettle against the man who pushed his father to his limits.
