While Z fighter is a group of heroes comprised of the strongest that Planet Earth has to offer, there are some members who offer a little more than others and some who really don’t offer much physically. useful in battle – even the weakest of these warriors (who are introduced in DBZ) don’t deserve to be hated, and Dragon Ball GT confirm it.
Mr. Satan (or Hercule) is a professional human martial artist who first appeared in the Cell Saga of Dragon Ball Z. When Cell challenged the world to a tournament he named the Cell Games, all of the Z- Classic Fighters responded to the call to stop him. Those warriors include Goku, Vegeta, Future Trunks, Krillin, and Gohan, but they aren’t the only ones appearing to fight Cell on international television. Mr. Satan, the world famous martial artist, is essentially obligated to challenge Cell as he must maintain his reputation and status as ‘the world’s strongest fighter’. Although he could not compare to Cell’s power, Mr. Satan took all the credit for his ultimate defeat and became even more famous. Skip forward several years to the World Martial Arts Tournament, where Hercule pays Android 18 to intentionally lose to him in order to once again maintain his position. Then, after Goku kills Majin Buu, Mr. Satan is also credited for that victory. Basically, Hercule is a giant cheater who has taken credit for other fighters’ victories since his debut – but that doesn’t mean he’s a complete loser.
Dragon Ball GT Confirms Mr. Satan Deserves More Respect
In Dragon Ball GT season 1, episode 28 (written by Daisuke Yajima, directed by Osamu Kasai, produced by Toei Animation), Goku, Pan and Trunks have returned to Earth after a year-long journey across the universe to find the Black Star. Dragon Balls. When they return to the planet, they discover that it has been taken over by the parasitic villain named Baby, GT’s most powerful machine mutant. Baby has the ability to ‘lay eggs’ in people’s heads and control their thoughts, effectively adding them to his ever-growing hive mind. While Trunks fell victim to this almost immediately (while Goku was later seemingly killed by Baby), Mr. Satan survived the first attack on the planet by hiding inside Buu. When the time comes for Hercule to escape his friend, he is immediately encountered by an angry mob under Baby’s influence, who want to add Hercule to the hive. However, Mr. Satan tore through these people like it was nothing, and he and Buu got out of there as quickly as possible.
Hercule’s biggest problem is that he is an ordinary human without ki-blast abilities or flying techniques in a world where those powers are necessary to become a famous fighter. However, that didn’t stop Mr. Satan is not only the most famous fighter in the world, but he is also quite a capable fighter. If someone in real life faced off against an entire mob using blunt objects as weapons and was not inhibited by the mind control of an intergalactic parasite, that person would be considered some kind of some superhero. Plus, the fact that Hercule was here to achieve that incredible feat of strength speaks to his intelligence.
Mr. Satan knows that he cannot defeat Baby in his first takeover, but he also knows that if he survives just a little while, he will be able to assist those who can – like Goku and Pan. So even though he is a fraud in DBZ, Dragon Ball GT demonstrate that Mr. Satan does not deserve to be hated by portraying him as a capable and intelligent man Z fightereven in a ‘doomsday’ scenario.
