Only about a month to go Dragon Ball Z's debut, a new trailer for the series has been released worldwide. Like previous trailers, there's not much information beyond the basic premise of Goku going on an adventure after he and his friends are turned into children, but in addition to featuring voice acting, the trailer also shows off a few things that will surprise fans.
Even beyond the use of voice acting, the latest trailer for the Dragon Ball Daima anime is easily the biggest trailer for the series to date. While much of the premise is still being kept under wraps, Dragon Ball Daima's latest trailer has revealed a lot of important information about both the premise and what to expect from everyone's power levels. Both completely changed what people thought they knew about the series.
There's been a lot to look forward to in Dragon Ball Daima, and thanks to the latest trailer, the movie is going to be even more epic than ever.
Why Goku Becoming Super Saiyan in Daima Is Such a Big Deal
The first big reveal in the new Dragon Ball Daima trailer concerns the power levels of Goku and his friends. Previous trailers and filler material have implied that shrinking people down in size also means they lose much of their power, which is supported by Goku's use of the Power Pole and a heavy focus on somewhat realistic martial arts combat. However, in a surprising twist, Dragon Ball Daima's latest trailer reveals that Goku can still transform into a Super Saiyan in his miniature formThat means Dragon Ball Daima won't be as nerfed as people think.
The latest Dragon Ball Daima trailer confirms that Goku and everyone else will still have access to their more powerful abilities, but that doesn't mean everything will be the same. Even when Goku transforms into a Super Saiyan in the trailer, the combat still seems pretty basic, and that could mean Goku and everyone else's “Mini” forms prevent them from using their full power for too long in Dragon Ball Daima. It would be a nice way to scale down while still maintaining Dragon Ball's signature fighting aesthetic, and hopefully it won't take long to clear this up.
Dragon Ball Daima will explore the demon world for the first time
Dragon Ball Daima takes the series in a whole new direction
Another important revelation in Dragon Ball Daima is about the story's setting. While it initially seems like the story is just taking Goku and his friends to an alien world, Dragon Ball Daima's latest trailer reveals that the story takes place in the Demon Realmwith older promotional artwork even being updated to reflect that fact. To date, the Demon Realm has never been explored outside of the video games and Super Dragon Ball Heroes, making this the first time any mainstream Dragon Ball work has explored it after it was briefly mentioned in the Majin Buu saga in the 1990s.
Between Daima loosely translating to “Demon,” Supreme Kai being a major character, and the way the first trailer showed the villain observing the events of the Majin Buu saga, there was always a theory that the story would involve Babidi and Majin Buu, somehow, and now, The revelation that Dragon Ball Daima takes place in the Demon Realm all but confirms the connection to the world-building of the Majin Buu saga.. Overall, the series It's never looked more exciting, and it's sure to live up to its hype for once. Dragon Ball Z released on October 11.
