In the history of the Dragon Ball franchise, we have seen characters like Gogeta, Vegito, Fused Zamasu, and Gotenks as fusion warriors using Fusion Dance or wearing Potarra Earrings.
Now, Goku, Supreme Kai and new character Glorio are in the Demon Realm to save Dende. Unfortunately, their airship was stolen at night. While searching for a way to move in the demon world, Goku discovers a shocking new way to fuse that no viewer expected.
Not only did Goku discover a new way for two warriors to fuse without using any past techniques, but it was also one of the crudest ways for two beings to fuse together.
What is the new fusion method in Dragon Ball Daima?
While waiting for the Sky Seed (a unique vehicle only available in the Demon Realm) to be purchased by Glorio, Goku stumbles across “Medi-Bugs” (medicine bugs). There are many types of medicine bugs with their own unique uses, including “Join Bugs”. Usage is quite simple, just break the beetle in half and feed it to 2 people and they can fuse together in a short time to become stronger.
This fusion is not permanent but will still create a warrior with a power level comparable to Gogeta and Vegito if Goku and Vegeta fuse again. Of course, this begs the question, could we see a third merged version of these 2 Saiyan warriors?
Who will fuse in Dragon Ball Daima?
We all know that the makers wouldn't introduce these Join Bugs without using them in the new story. Luckily, there are plenty of options for Daima's future fusion, as promotional material has shown viewers that both Vegeta and Piccolo are headed to the Demon Realm thanks to Bulma's technological prowess. There's also a pretty big reason why the Z Fighters might need to use the fusion in the near future.
As Glorio explained, there are three Dragon Balls in the great demon world but they have never been collected enough to grant a wish. This is due to “Tamagami”, powerful creatures created by the Namekians called Neva, to protect the Dragon Balls from being used. Although Goku can still transform into a Super Saiyan in his new form, he is still not used to his small form when traveling in the demon realm.
