It was also revealed that Grammy Award-winning producer Zedd produced the opening theme song for Dragon Ball Daima, titled “Jaka Jyaan,” in collaboration with C&K. Zedd was revealed to have been a huge fan since he was young, adding in his official comments, “I am extremely honored to be considered to produce the music for Dragon Ball. I grew up as a huge fan, and I never thought I would be able to work on something like this.” The lyrics for “Jaka Jyaan” were composed by Yukinojo Mori, who previously worked on Dragon Ball’s iconic opening theme song, “CHA-LA-HEAD-CHA-LA.”
The new trailer follows the announcement of Dragon Ball Daima's premiere date the day before. The series will air on Fuji TV's new late-night anime channel, with programming director Yuichi Nakajima revealing that he hopes it will kick off the company's new direction as an anime provider. Dragon Ball Daima marks the final involvement of original Dragon Ball creator, character designer and screenwriter Daima Akira Toriyama, in the anime series. The series is scheduled to air on October 11, 2024, nearly 40 years after the original manga debuted in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump.
