Dragon Ball Daima introduced quite a few new elements into the history of the shonen series. In the first four episodes alone, viewers got a closer look at the Demon Realm, saw the new origin of the Namekian race and learned some new aspects of Shenron and the Dragon Balls.
In the fourth and latest episode of the Dragon Ball Z sequel series, Son Goku, Kaioshin and Glorio are continuing their journey in the Demon Realm.
They came across something Goku didn't expect. A new type of Senzu Bean has been introduced and it makes many people afraid to eat it.
It must be admitted that Senzu Bean is truly the savior of the Z warriors throughout their battles from Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z to Dragon Ball Super. In addition to helping restore a warrior's stamina, these magical beans can heal almost any wound and bring them back from the dead. While Senzu Bean usually takes a while to develop, Demon Realm has introduced a new food that may be just as effective but is much more disgusting.
Demon Realm Senzu Beans in Dragon Ball Daima
When Glorio takes Goku and Kaioshin to a small shop in the Demon Realm to find a replacement for their stolen ship, Goku stumbles upon “Medi-Bugs” (medicine bugs). These bugs have many different effects because each type of bug will have a specific use.
In particular, “Revive Bugs” are a type of Medi-Bugs with the same properties as Senzu Beans. When someone eats one of these bugs, they can regain health, and can also heal wounds similar to Senzus. Although we still can't see these Revive Bugs in action, Daima is already preparing for a battle where they will be needed.
Revive Bugs is a lifesaver
This latest installment also sheds more light on the Dragon Balls of Demon Realms, setting the stage for what could be Dragon Ball Daima's biggest battle yet. Unlike the dragon balls of earth, the great demon world only needs to collect 3 pearls to make a wish. Unfortunately, there are extremely powerful creatures protecting the Dragon Balls, so no one can grant their wish yet. A Namekian named Neva is the creator of these gems and has also placed guardians called Tamagami to ensure that granting a wish is not an easy feat.
Due to being transformed into a “first grader”, Goku has difficulty maintaining his fighting power. Although it has been pointed out in promotional material that Goku can still transform into a Super Saiyan, Daima has shown that he needs some time to get used to his new size. On top of that, the Demon Realm's heavy atmosphere makes warriors struggle to match their opponents, meaning the fight against Tamagami will not be an easy victory.
