Since its launch, Disaster has quickly become one of the horror games that is extremely supported by Vietnamese gamers.
It's easy to understand when Disaster is made by a Vietnamese studio, created and developed by Vietnamese people. In addition, the game's context with horror elements is also very familiar and close to most Vietnamese players.
It was thought that with its level of coverage, Tai Uong would quickly reap significant achievements, especially in terms of revenue.
But in reality it doesn't seem to be like that. Just recently, Vietnamese gamers did a mental calculation, analyzing what number Tai Uong's revenue would reach after appearing on Steam and receiving so many compliments. The results will probably surprise many people.
Accordingly, this gamer is based on data from SteamDB. The sales volume of Disaster is about 3,000 – 10,000 copies. The selling price of Calamity on Steam in the Vietnamese market is 128,000 VND. And if we assume Calamity sells at least 3,000 copies, just do a simple multiplication and subtract 30% of the cost for the Steam platform, the game's revenue level is clear. That's about 286 million VND, which is a bit meager.
But remember, Calamity is still in the Early Access phase and the game will officially be fully released in the future, thereby achieving new impressive revenue milestones. In addition, the above calculation only takes into account the case of Catastrophe with a minimum estimated sales milestone of 3,000 copies. Therefore, the game's chance of success in terms of profit is still very large.
