Relive Frieren’s most graceful action in a plush toy, pins and more
So far, the Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End anime has had some memorable scenes (Spoilers ahead for the latest episodes). There’s Stark defeating a dragon 50 times his size in episode 6, Fern keeping her composure (and her mana at a minimum) while fighting Lügner in episode 9, Frieren easily defeating Aura in episode 10 and Frieren unleashes his deadly secret weapon-the deadly secret weapon. flying kiss-in episode 13. Of course, Himmel’s “silent proposal” to Frieren in episode 14 left everyone both in love and heartbroken. But what definitely impressed and left an impression on everyone right from episode 1 was this scene:
The great wizard Frieren always being tricked and eaten by the Mimic is now one of the best running gags of the series. The proof is the steady release of every Frieren-Mimic item currently available in the Japanese market. Here are just a few of them.
Sega in Japan announced this Frieren-Mimic deluxe UFO Catcher in October and will release in 2024.
FuRyu has also released two types of anime-inspired chest boxes. The chest measures about 20 cm and as shown in the second image, you can place your Frieren plush toy in it precisely.
Frieren-Mimic is also included in this Rubber Mascot Body Collection, which will be available at the end of May 2024.
Beyondity in Japan also released their own line of pins inspired by the anime, and look who got eaten by Mimic!
The Frieren-Mimic joke will likely last as long as Frieren is alive. Even the opening singer of the anime YOASOBI couldn’t help but agree.
We all laughed at Frieren’s gullibility when it came to the Mimic, so surely, those of us who know better won’t be fooled so easily. Especially when we see an image filled with a limited-time QR code (until December 20 only) and saying:”Inside this is a precious grimoire”.

We’re not as gullible as Frieren, are we?
