Episode 2 of The Idol was released at dawn on June 12, with the title Double Fantasy. As expected, the film has begun to accelerate, with more unpredictable developments, the motives and personalities of the characters are gradually revealed and of course, hot scenes appear densely.
Like episode 1, Jennie (BlackPink) still doesn’t have too much acting space and only appears in two scenes. However, this time two scenes with her appearance left a memorable impression, making viewers curious, discussing the real role of the character Dyanne.
In this episode, Dyanne was targeted by record label director Nikki (Jane Adams) to replace the female lead Jocelyn (Lily-Rose Depp) after failing to complete a music video shoot. Known as a talented dancer, Dyanne did not miss the opportunity to show her voice and eventually successfully convinced Nikki to let her complete a recording of her own.

Jennie’s familiar voice and new changes to the character Dyanne are enjoyed by viewers. This is a signal that Jennie has more acting space in the next episodes.
In the next scene, the film suddenly turns, bringing viewers to the meeting between Dyanne and Tedros, two people who seem to be unrelated. It turns out that Dyanne is operating under Tedros’ control, and information from the conversation also shows that they have a closer relationship than usual. Tedros is hiding a mysterious plot and Dyanne is a card he holds in his hand.

First half episode 2 The Idol did quite well in exploiting the psychological development of the heroine Jocelyn. Reluctantly participating in the music video shoot, Jocelyn appeared weak, exhausted and had to admit that she had not yet overcome the pain of losing her mother. That made investors skeptical and pushed her career into disrepair.
In the second half of the film, Jocelyn comes to Tedros in a pessimistic state. Along with a group of friends of Tedros, the two immediately plunge into a house party with all sorts of crazy and depraved tricks. The hot scene appeared densely, without restraint in expression, making the end of episode 2 no different from a pornographic movie.
Besides the depravity in the film’s content, The Weeknd’s acting is also an alarming element of The Idol. Despite being a villain, Tedros’s hate comes from his unnatural acting and cheesy dialogue. That’s not to mention the disaster with the “rat tail” hairstyle, which could not help but make viewers shake their heads in disgust.

In episode 2, the audience got a more general view of The Idol. There is still a lot of grit, a lot of silliness and a lot of innocuous hot scenes, but the mystery is also increasing, making viewers really want to watch.
