Universal Studios has just announced the return of the attractive Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba theme park in Japan based on the “soul shaking” movie Demon Slayer the Movie: Mugen Train.
The announcement, made by Universal Studios Japan on ) themed Mugen Train. The ride is designed to give passengers the experience of riding a Mugen locomotive alongside the characters Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, Inosuke and Rengoku — as well as their demonic opponents. The ride was a huge success when it debuted at USJ in 2021 but closed in early 2022 because the Demon Slayer exhibits were temporary. Now the theme park plans to bring the ride back and has announced more upcoming details, possibly including a release date, on the Universal Studios Japan website.
The ride is based on Demon Slayer the Movie: Mugen Train, a sequel to the first part of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. The franchise’s story follows Tanjiro Kamado, a boy who becomes a demon hunter after his family is massacred by demons. He seeks to avenge their deaths and cure his demon-possessed sister while navigating a world filled with supernatural threats and fellow demon slayers, as well as fighting with your own human strength.
The manga, created by Koyoharu Gotouge, was first published as a manga in Weekly Shōnen Jump in 2016. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba was a breakout success from the start thanks to its eye-catching art style and storytelling fascinating story. After Ufotable released the anime adaptation in 2019, the series also became a breakout hit worldwide. Demon Slayer fans have been in limbo since the end of the anime’s third season, “Arc Swordsmith Village,” in June.
