Cosplayer Naoko-Hime posted their dazzling Demon Slayer Nezuko cosplay on Reddit. With Nezuko’s pale pink kimono and bright red flower pinned in her flame hair, the cosplayer matched the beautiful cherry blossoms around her. Gently cradled in her hand was a bunch of flowers. Nezuko is rarely seen without a bamboo muzzle when she is not fighting, but she may not have worn it to enjoy the cherry blossoms to the fullest.
Naoko-Hime’s cosplay history
An avid Nezuko fan, Naoko-Hime has portrayed the demon in other photo shoots, including one where she appears to be in a dark forest with lighting that mimics fireflies Fireflies fly around her. In this particular cosplay, Naoko-Hime wears a bamboo muzzle, which she says is “quite comfortable.” This cosplayer often portrays characters from anime series from the 1990s to 2000s, such as Chii from CLAMP’s Chobits manga and Alter Saber from the Fate/stay night visual novel. Besides Demon Slayer’s Nezuko, the cosplayer has also cosplayed as the character of the same name in Violet Evergarden.
Nezuko plays an important role in setting the sequence of events in Koyoharu Gotouge’s Demon Slayer. Protagonist Tanjiro Kamado returns home after staying in a nearby village to sell coal and finds his entire family slaughtered to save his sister Nezuko, who soon begins to turn into a youkai. Three years after Demon Slayer began serialization in Weekly Shōnen Jump, the manga inspired an anime adaptation produced by ufotable.
