Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc Toonami release date has officially been revealed.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’s latest season will hit Toonami on January 13, 2024. The anime’s official X (formerly Twitter) account announced the news on November 18. Entertainment District Arc covers Contains the second part of Demon Slayer Season 2, which runs from October 2021 to February 2022, immediately after the Mugen Ship Arc. Aimer performed both the opening and ending themes, “Zankyo Sanka” and “Asa ga Kuru”, respectively.
Also revealed to be coming to Toonami in the new year is Lycoris Recoil, premiering on January 20, 2024. This popular action anime stars the government-sponsored spy force ‘Lycoris’ and is broadcast first aired in July 2022 with 13 episodes. In recent times, Toonami has seen the premiere of Immortal Grand Prix as well as its final entry into the FLCL franchise, with the latest and final FLCL Shoegaze coming to an end in October.
The news marks a welcome announcement for Demon Slayer fans, who got the first installment in October 2019 ahead of the Mugen Ship Arc in early November 2023. Next up for the series is The upcoming fourth season, Hashira Training Arc, was first announced in June 2023. New information about Season 4 will be revealed in mid-December.
Demon Slayer is adapted from the manga of the same name by Koyoharu Gotouge, published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. News about season 4 will be quickly followed by big reveals regarding other Shonen Jump titles. Jump Festa 2024 will return from December 16-17, with last year’s event marking the announcement of Mission: Yozakura Family and the Spy x Family film Code: White. Both have revealed more information in recent weeks.
Crunchyroll streams the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc and describes it as follows: “After an emotional mission on the Mugen Ship, Tanjiro and his teammates join Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui on a mission in a city that shines brightly at night: The entertainment district. They soon learn that Uzui has lost contact with his three wives, who infiltrated the Arcade to gather information after suspecting demons may be living in the city. Hoping to find out their whereabouts, Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke begin their investigation…”
