A new key visual and main PV trailer have been revealed for the upcoming Demon Lord, Retry! R. TV anime series. The anime will begin streaming early in Japan on the ABEMA service on September 28, 2024.

The trailer also showcases the film's main theme songs, including the newly revealed opening theme “Ashita Sekai ga Owaru Toshite mo” by ASCA and the ending theme “Clanssi:c feat. Yuho Kitazawa” by MIMiNARI.

Kazuomi Koga (Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible, Rent-A-Girlfriend Season 1 and 2) will direct the new anime series, with Katsuhiko Takayama (The Weakest Tamer Goes on a Scavenger Hunt) serving as series writer, Minori Homura (Isekai no Yu) as character designer, and Gekko as animation production company.
Meanwhile, the anime's voice cast includes:
• Kenjiro Tsuda as Hakuto Kunai • Momo Asakura as Aku • Azumi Waki as Akane Fujisaki • Iori Noguchi as Eagle • Aina Suzuki as Luna Elegant
Tsuda is reprising his role from the first Demon Lord, Try Again! series in 2019, while Asakura replaces Kanon Takao. Other replacements include Noguchi replacing Akari Kito and Suzuki replacing Kaori Ishihara.
Demon Lord, Retry! R is the manga sequel to the Demon Lord, Retry! isekai fantasy novel. The series began in 2016 as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel written by Kurone Kanzaki. The light novels were later published under Futabasha's Monster Bunko imprint in July 2017, with new illustrations by Koji Ogata. Nine volumes of the second revised edition of the series have been released as of September 2023, with the 10th volume set to be released on September 30, 2024.
Amaru Minotake's manga adaptation began serialization on Futabasha's Web Comic Action in October 2017 and is currently serialized on Gaugau Monster. The pre-R content was collected into five tankōbon volumes, the last of which was released in December 2019. J Novel Club releases both the light novel series and the manga adaptation in English digitally.
Crunchyroll will stream Demon Lord, Try Again! R in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and the CIS. The series' streaming launch date has yet to be determined.
