Dead Mount Death Play begins with the legendary duel between the evil spirit called Corpse God and the powerful hero Calamity Crusher. After the others failed to subdue the terrifying spirit, the Calamity Crusher was sent to kill him instead. After engaging in a fierce battle, the Calamity Crusher was about to kill the God of Corpses when the spirit name unleashed a hailstorm and cast a regeneration spell to save itself.
The god of corpses wakes up in a completely different world in the body of an injured boy named Polka Shinomaya. The god of corpses realized that Shinomaya had been caught up in something extremely dangerous and probably lost his life after seeing Shinomaya’s throat cut. Caught in a dangerous situation, in a world he doesn’t recognize, how will Shinomiya survive?
Dead Mount Death Play: Episode 1 Summary
Episode 1 opens with a scene where the powerful spirit called Corpse God rips through the bodies of the soldiers sent to fight him. In order to successfully subjugate the evil God of Corpses, a hero known as the Calamity Crusher was dispatched as a last resort. The God of Corpses and the Crusher of Calamity engage in a fierce battle, and the Crusher of Calamity overpowers the God of the Undead. Just as the Calamity Crusher was about to deliver its final blow, the God of Corpses used regeneration magic.
Corpse God has successfully escaped and reincarnated. He finds himself in a completely different world resembling modern Japan in the body of a young man named Polka Shinomaya. The god of corpses realizes that Shinomaya’s throat has been slashed and he cannot speak normally. Stunned by this new world, Shinomaya steps outside but is arrested by the police because of his slashed throat and bloody shirt.
Shinomiya is saved by a young girl named Misaki Sakimiya, and together they run away. Misaki directs Shinomiya to a dark alley and reveals that she was tasked with assassinating Shinomiya and asks him how he is still alive after having a crowbar stuck in his throat. Memories of Shinomiya’s past begin to flood back, and the Shinigami realizes that Misaki had tried to kill Shinomiya before.
Shinomiya rushes to save his life, but he is quickly cornered by Misaki. Shinomiya runs into an abandoned building, and with his Evil Eye, he finds that there are many ghosts present in the building. Shinomiya’s magical powers are activated and he uses them to kill Misaki. The final scene shows a disturbed Calamity Crusher who senses teleportation magic before the God of Corpses dies. The church reassures him that the God of the Dead is gone forever.
Dead Mount Death Play: Episode 2 Spoiler
Dead Mount Death Play Episode 2 will focus on the Corpse God trying to adjust to his new life as Shinomiya in the new and strange world he was reincarnated in. Shinomiya is likely to have more trouble with assassins trying to get rid of him. The god of corpses will most likely access Shinomiya’s memories to understand why he is being hunted by assassins.
