Warning: Spoiler for Mashle: Magic and Muscles Episode #10The hit Crunchyroll series Mashle: Magic and Muscle became popular with fans for the way it parodied other shounen anime series and classic series. Fairy Tail has become its latest victim. Upon its release in the spring of 2023, Mashle: Magic and Muscles has made a name for itself thanks to the hilarious way the series doesn’t take itself too seriously and the protagonist makes jokes with other powerful moves. The drama’s humor was at full force in episode #10, showing that no shounen hero is safe from the series’ parody.
In episode #10 Mashle, protagonist Mash encounters another uphill battle that will test his strength in pursuing the villain Abel. For a student who didn’t use magic, this might have been an impossible task, but of course, nothing was impossible for Mash’s reality-defying muscular strength. This time, he’s up against Rayne, his senior, a Visionary and their dorm head. In this fight, Mash once again makes fun of every magic move thrown at him, and this time, it’s the power of a Fairy Tail character on display.
Mashle completely baked Fairy Tail’s Erza
In episode #10 of Mashle: Magic and Muscles, the rivalry between the Adler and Lang Houses continues to focus on Finn and Dot of the Adler and Milo Genius and Love Cute of the Lang. However, a side fight is what attracts the most attention. Mash stumbles upon Governor Rayne of House Adler, who decides to test his powers to see if he can really complete his quest to fight for their house and become a Divine Visionary. Are not. Without hesitation, Rayne attacked Mash by sending a flying sword straight at his head. Mash caught the sword with two fingers when it was inches from his face, causing Rayne to create 10 more swords. Instead of being stabbed, Mash creates a chair out of the magic swords, then continues to use a sword to block the remaining swords flying towards him, effectively ending the battle.
Mash will completely destroy Fairy Tail’s Erza in one battle
This battle has caught the attention of fans because the magic Rayne uses is very similar to the iconic powers of one of Fairy Tail’s most powerful wizards, Erza Scarlett. In the shounen series, one of Erza’s most powerful and iconic armor is her Armor of the Wheel of Heaven. This armor allows her to summon hundreds of swords and control them at the same time, wiping out her enemies in a way that is usually invincible. Because this power of Erza is so iconic and powerful, fans were shocked and thrilled to see Mash easily catch and deflect the familiar attack without breaking a sweat. For fans of both series, it was interesting and a bit nostalgic to see how quickly 100 swords were bent to Mash’s will.
This latest parody solidifies Mashle’s stance as a shounen comedy capable of parodying any other series on the market. The humor never detracts from the fight, and the swordsmanship is as beautiful and impressive as ever, but Mash’s muscle-based mischiefs are even more impressive. Fans won’t want to miss out on even more comedic action in episode 11 of Mashle: Magic and Muscle when it airs on Crunchyroll, when a major storyline comes to an end.
