The latest Solo Leveling trailer has been released, with confirmation that Crunchyroll will stream the anime worldwide for the series’ international premiere.
In Japan, Solo Leveling will launch on January 7, 2024 at midnight (JST), while Crunchyroll’s global broadcast will release on January 6 in the United States. Cuts from the first episode have been released, along with a new trailer and thematic epilogue. The first episode is titled “I’ve Got Used to It,” and fans of Sword Art Online may recognize the work of script directors Shunsuke Nakashige and Hirotaka Tokuda, both of whom worked on the Alicization series. The ending song is a “request” by Krage (known for the ED theme Raven of the Inner Palace). As previously announced, Hiroyuki Sawano and TOMORROW X TOGETHER will perform the opening theme song “LEveL”. You can check out the trailer and first images from Episode 1 below.

Crunchyroll announced the categories and judges for the 2024 Anime Awards, which will be held in Tokyo and feature several additions to last year’s event.
The series does not currently have a confirmed episode count, and Crunchyroll has not yet announced the exact time Solo Leveling episodes will appear on its platform. However, Crunchyroll has become the go-to place for Webtoon adaptations, with A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special currently airing on the platform. Tower of God Season 2 and True Beauty were also announced at the recent Crunchyroll panel at Anime NYC and are scheduled to air in 2024.
Webtoon popularity in general is on the rise, with Solo Leveling spawning a multimedia series, with spin-off Solo Leveling: Ragnarok and a live-action K-drama both announced as is in progress. However, this series is just the tip of the iceberg for the Korean art form, with 15 other best webtoons (according to the Webtoon app) gathered by CBR for fans to geek out over.
