Crunchyroll began streaming the anime Marginal Prince (Marginal Prince ~Gekkeijyu no Oujitachi~), an adaptation of NTT Docomo’s mobile dating simulation game, on Wednesday. Crunchyroll also announced on Thursday that it will add a second season of the Gunma-chan anime.
Crunchyroll is streaming the Marginal Prince anime in a Japanese dub with subtitles in English, German, Spanish (Latin America and Spain), and French. This is the first official English release of the anime, including an additional 14th episode.
Thirteen anime episodes aired in Japan from October to December 2006. An additional 14th episode aired in Japan in July 2007.
The anime’s story focuses on Yuta, who leaves his sister to study abroad at St. Alfonso, located on a small island far from Japan. The academy is known as a special school for the children of famous people, and Yuta is confused by the school’s grand and luxurious buildings and dormitories. One day, an incident occurred at the school dormitory.

Mayuto Morimoto is credited for the original work and Tomohisa Kai for the original character sketches. Takayuki Inagaki directed the anime. Studio T&B, Tokyo Kids and GONZO are responsible for the animation production, and Toshiko Sasaki is designing the anime’s characters.
NTT Docomo released the original mobile game in Japan in August 2005.

The second season of the television anime based on the Gunma Prefecture mascot character Gunma-chan will be available in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, Middle East, CIS and India. Crunchyroll did not announce a release date for the anime.
The second season premiered in Japan in April 2023 and concluded in July 2023. The main cast and crew returned for the second season at the Ascension studios. Karin Takahashi, Aya Uchida and Yui Ogura performed the opening theme song “Switch!” and Maria Imamura performed the ending theme song “Happy”.
The first season debuted in October 2021 and ended in December 2021. Crunchyroll is streaming the series.
Mitsuru Hongo (Ascendance of a Bookworm, Outlaw Star, World Trigger, Deltora Quest) directed and wrote the anime at Ascension (Dino Girl Gauko). Karin Takahashi voices the main character Gunma-chan. Aya Uchida and Yui Ogura voice Aoma and Mimi, Gunma-chan’s friends.
The current pony mascot debuted as the “Yūma-chan” mascot for a sports competition in 1994, and became the prefectural Gunma-chan mascot in 1994. 2008. It replaced the design The previous Gunma-chan that the prefecture had been using since the 1980s.
