Popular anime streaming platform Crunchyroll has announced the streaming rights to Dragon Ball DAIMA in several territories globally, marking original creator Akira Toriyama's final involvement with the anime series.
Crunchyroll has announced via a press release that it has acquired the streaming rights to Toei Animation's highly anticipated Dragon Ball DAIMA anime series. The series will be available with English subtitles starting October 11, with new episodes airing simultaneously weekly alongside the Japanese TV broadcast. DAIMA will be available in the United States, Canada, and Latin America, including Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, and Southeast Asia; other regions are currently unknown.
Dragon Ball DAIMA continues to generate excitement among fans worldwide. Recently, Grammy Award-winning artist Zedd composed the series’ opening theme song, “Jaka Jaan,” with support from C&K, singer-songwriter duo CLIEVY and KEEN, who also contributed vocals. The lyrics were penned by Yukinojo Mori, best known for her Dragon Ball series songs “CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA” and “Limit Break x Survivor.” Zedd will also produce the ending theme song “NAKAMA,” with lyrics written and sung by artist AI. Fans also got new looks and cast information for DAIMA’s Gomah, Degesu, and Dr. Arinsu. Furthermore, a new look at Super Saiyan Goku, both in his standard and Mini forms, was revealed in the latest Dragon Ball DAIMA trailer.
Crunchyroll to Stream Dragon Ball Daima Across North America and Beyond This October
Crunchyroll will stream Dragon Ball DAIMA starting October 11. In a recent interview with CBR, Dragon Ball producer Akio Iyoku, described as Toriyama's right-hand man, revealed that they wanted to create “a Dragon Ball that no one has ever seen before.” Toriyama is responsible for the character designs and storyline of the series. The series is officially described as follows: “Due to a conspiracy, Goku and his friends have been turned into small children. What adventures await Goku, Supreme Kai, and new characters Glorio and Panzy in this unknown world, the 'Demon Realm'?”
