Crunchyroll announced the streaming platform has acquired seven sets.
At the Crunchyroll Industry Panel in Anime Central, Crunchyroll revealed that they had purchased seven anime series. These include sequels like Horimiya: The Missing Pieces and Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 3. Other new series include The Great Cleric, Am I Really the Strongest?, I’m in Love With the Villainess, I Shall Survive Using Potions! and MF Ghost. Some movies will start streaming as early as July 2023.
Horimiya: The missing pieces tell new stories
Produced by CloverWorks, the next series Horimiya: The Missing Pieces will tell the manga’s untold stories that the first installment didn’t cover. Horimiya revolves around two very different individuals: the famous Hori and the gloomy lonely Miyamura. It looks like the couple’s paths won’t converge until a chance meeting leads to them revealing a different side of themselves. Horimiya: The Missing Pieces will stream worldwide excluding Asia in July.
The great cleric who followed a salaryman of Isekai
The timing couldn’t have been worse: just before his promotion, a salaryman was shot dead and reincarnated in another world as a fifteen-year-old healer named Luciel. Unfortunately, this new world despises healers. Luciel decides to join the adventurers’ guild, where they put him through intense training and drink a mysterious drink called “Substance X”. Yokohama Animation Lab will partner with Cloud Hearts to produce The Great Cleric. The Great Cleric launches in July, streaming worldwide, excluding Asia but including India, Pakistan, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Maldives, Middle East and North African territories.
Rent-a-Girlfriend debuts third season
Rent-a-Girlfriend will return to Crunchyroll for a third season. Fans around the world, excluding those in Asia, can stream Season 3 of Rent-a-Girlfriend when it launches in July. Written and illustrated by Reiji Miyajima, Rent-a-Girlfriend follows college student Kinoshita Kazuya, who is dumped by his girlfriend after a month of dating. He decided to look for an online dating girlfriend and met Mizuhara Chizuru. Though he intends to hire Chizuru to appear in front of family and friends, his feelings begin to develop into something more. Produced by TMS Entertainment, Rent-a-Girlfriend will premiere internationally in July, excluding Asia.
Am I really the strongest? Adapted From Light Novel
Adapted from the isekai novel series, Am I really the strongest? follows Haruto closing the door, who is reincarnated as a baby prince. Unfortunately, he was abandoned in a forest due to the mistaken belief that his level was very low. Little did they know thanks to the goddess of rebirth, Haruto possessed 1000 times more magic than normal. Viewers will find out if Haruto is really the strongest when the anime premieres in July. Am I really the strongest? available worldwide, excluding Asia but including India.
I’m in love with the villain is an interesting GL Isekai story
Produced by Platinum Vision, I’m in Love with the Villainess follows office worker Oohashi Rae reincarnated as the protagonist of her favorite otome game Revolution after dying from overwork. Rae isn’t interested in the game’s three romance routes. Instead, she has her eyes on the villain, Claire Francois. However, Rae’s attempts to attract Claire leave the villain more than just slightly confused. Launching in October, I’m in Love with the Villainess will be available for fans to stream, excluding those in Asia.
I Will Survive With Poison With Talented Female MC
Based on the isekai novel series written by FUNA, I Will Survive Using Potions! follows 22-year-old office worker Nagase Kaoru, who finds herself in another world after her death. Thanks to a god, Kaoru reincarnated in a younger body, and the god gave her the ability to create superhuman potions. Jumondo will be animating and producing the series, and I’ll Survive Using Potions! will be released sometime this year. The anime will be released worldwide, excluding Asia.
MFGhost is placed after the initial D
Set in the not-too-distant future in AD 202X, MF Ghost follows a British racing school graduate named Kanata Rivington, who moves to Japan and participates in a racing competition called MFG . He wowed the crowd when his Toyota 86 beat top racers, but he had only one goal: to find his father. MF Ghost takes place after Original D, although some characters from the latter appear. Produced by Felix Film (Otherside Picnic), MF Ghost is due out sometime this year and is available to stream worldwide, excluding Asia.
