Fans will be pleasantly surprised to find a special addition at the end of Creed III when the film opens in Japan.
According to Anime News Network, Creed III, called Creed Kako no Gyakushū (Creed: Revenge from the Past) in Japan, will release an anime special at the end of the film. Michael B. Jordan, who stars and directs the film, revealed the announcement through his Instagram account. Yo Moriyama is directing the anime, with Katushiko Manabe and Kensaku Kojima writing the scripts. All three previously worked on the 2018 boxing animated series Megalobox.

Jordan has talked about his love for anime, saying that he watches anime every day. During the promotion for Creed III, the actor made recommendations for new anime fans to watch as their starter series, including Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, Hunter x Hunter, and Dragon Ball Z. The third film in the Creed franchise has grossed over $150 million in the US and Canada. Jordan confirmed the fourth Creed movie, saying, “I just want to expand on the Creed story for the sake of reason, but definitely expect other things around Creed.” There are also plans for an anime series to expand the Creed universe.
Creed III will open in Japanese theaters on May 26. The film premiered in US theaters on March 3.
