BanG Dream’s official Twitter account! Girl band party! smartphone game announced on Monday that developer Craft Egg will no longer be involved in developing and operating the game and that Bushiroad will only develop and operate the game, starting from January 4.
With the change in management and operations, the smartphone game will only develop and operate this game. Game data, including paid items and unused balances, will be migrated to Bushiroad starting January 4. However, the company assures that this will not affect gameplay under any form and the player can continue playing the game. Collaborations and ongoing events were previously announced, including “BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! Cup” the 5th edition of the game, will continue without any changes to the schedule.
Bushiroad and Craft Egg launched the game in Japan in March 2017, and the English version launched worldwide in April 2018. The Nintendo Switch version of the game launched in September 2021.
The game’s mini anime adaptation is titled BanG Dream! Girl band party! Pico ran for three seasons. The first season of the mini anime premiered in July 2018 on the show BanG Dream! Diverse TV programs. It is also streamed on BanG Dream! Channel on YouTube. The second season, BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!☆PICO ~OHMORI~, released May 2020 on BanG Dream! Stream TV LIVE 2020 on BanG Dream! Channel on YouTube and Periscope. The third season is titled BanG Dream! Girl band party! Pico Fever!, which premiered in BanG Dream! The YouTube channel’s “TV LIVE 2021″ streamed in October 2021. The third season of the mini-anime also premiered on Tokyo MX and AT-X in late October of the same year.
