Laid-Back Camp gears up for Season 3 with a heartwarming trailer that promises more campfire fun.
The promotional video gives Laid-Back Camp fans a glimpse at some of the upcoming antics from the girls of the Outdoor Activities Club. The video also introduces the artists who will compose Season 3’s theme songs, with music group Kiminone and singer Asaka performing the season’s opening and ending, respectively.
Getaway Camp Season 3 Change Studios
Laid-Back Camp notably changed animation studios for its latest season, with Eight Bit taking over production from Seasons 1 and 2’s studio, C-Station. Shin Tosaka is directing the project as the new director of Season 3. Similarly, Masafumi Sugiura is also responsible for composing the series and will work with character designer Hisanori Hashimoto. Season 3 also features the return of Akiyuki Tateyama and Takeshi Takadera, who will take on the roles of composer and sound director for the series, respectively. The voice actors of Laid-Back Camp’s beloved main characters will also return in the latest season, with Nao Touyama as Rin Shima, Aki Toyosaki as Aoi Inuyama, Yumiri Hanamori as Nadeshiko Kagamihara, Sayuri Hara as Chiaki Oogako and Rie Takahashi as Ena Saito.
Based on the seinen manga series written and illustrated by Afro of the same name, Laid-Back Camp is a cozy slice-of-life anime series revolving around the daily lives of Rin Shima and Nadeshiko Kagamihara, a pair of high school girls. has a deep passion for camping. The series’ popularity has spawned spin-offs in various media, such as live-action adaptations, anime series, and visual novel video games.
The series synopsis reads: “Nadeshiko, a high school student who has transferred from Shizuoka to Yamanashi, decides to visit the famous Mount Fuji printed on the 1000 yen bill. Even though she tried to cycle all the way to Motosu, she was forced to.” Had to turn back because of bad weather. Unable to keep her eyes on the target, she fainted midway to her destination. When she woke up, it was dark, in a place she had never been to, and didn’t know the way home. Nadeshiko is saved when she meets Rin, a girl who is camping alone. This story of outdoor girls begins with the first meeting between Nadeshiko and Rin.”
Laid-Back Camp Season 3 is scheduled to release in 2024 and will be available to stream on Crunchyroll.
