Collecting rare items and items from many games is no longer a strange hobby for many people. There are even items that are only released during certain events and later become “limited” goods, sometimes even reaching a combined value. For example, the case of Pokemon cards on the market today, when cards launched in 1999 and 2000 are sometimes traded for prices up to millions of dollars. And most recently, the story of a World of Warcraft player is surprising everyone.
Specifically, the main character in this story is JackEster97 – a die-hard fan of World of Warcraft. Recently, this guy posted online and showed off his collection of Mountai Dew soft drink bottles – a famous drink. This would not be worth mentioning if these Mountain Dew bottles were limited products, or in other words, no longer produced. The reason for this is because originally, this is a product from the combination of the two giants Mountain Dew and Blizzard on the occasion of the launch of Wrath of the Lich King version 14 years ago.
Accordingly, this event took place in August 2009 and here, Mountain Dew launched blue Wild Fruit Alliance and red Citrus Cherry Horde flavored soft drinks. Jack’s photo shows the drink bottles still kept intact in the family’s cupboard. Some of the bottles had not even been opened before showing signs of collapse, which is understandable given that they had been stored there overlapping for 14 years.
Based on the experience of some predecessors, Jack’s water bottles are now worth dozens of times compared to 14 years ago. Specifically, the bottles cost between 20-30 USD per product. As for unopened water bottles, Jack can sell them for hundreds of dollars – a real bargain and a worthy reward for his collection over the past 15 years.
