V JUMP editor Victory Uchida has revealed an “unbelievable twist” in the upcoming 100th chapter of Dragon Ball Super.
Uchida made the comments during a recent guest appearance in an unboxing video of some new Dragon Ball Z figurines on the Bandai Spirits YouTube channel. Uchida came to promote the latest issue of V JUMP, especially the finale of Dragon Ball Super Chapter 99, which left readers on the edge of their seats during a crucial moment in Gohan’s fight against Cell Max. He said that the upcoming chapter will have a big twist and will lead to some “crazy developments” that fans can look forward to.
Uchida is the Editor-in-Chief of V JUMP, one of Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump sister magazines, which publishes the popular titles Dragon Ball Super and Boruto: Two Blue Vortex among others. Dragon Ball Super follows the events of the classic Dragon Ball series, revolving around Goku and his family and friends.
The series is currently in its ninth story, the “Superhero” story, which follows Commander Magenta and Dr. Hedo trying to revive the Red Ribbon Army. Meanwhile, Goku, Vegeta, and Broly are training under Whis on Beerus’ planet. Back on Earth, Piccolo’s frustration grows at Gohan’s prioritization of academics over training. The situation becomes more tense when Piccolo faces an ambush by Red Ribbon’s android Gamma 2, leading to the discovery of the android’s origins and the creation of a formidable opponent, Cell Max. As events unfold, Gohan, along with Piccolo and his allies, face the Red Ribbon threat, leading to a climactic battle against Cell Max, bringing the series to its latest events. .
Fans are theorizing about what this upcoming twist could be. While most are confident that the battle will end with Gohan victorious, concluding the “Superhero” saga, the twist may lie in the sequel. Speculation about the upcoming Dragon Ball Super chapter ranges from a potential teaser of the “Black Frieza” arc to integrating the events of End of Z into the series’ timeline. This would be consistent with the ages of Trunks, Goten, and Pan, which could shake up future plot developments. A less likely theory about Dragon Ball Daima’s prelude has also emerged as the basis for predicting the possibility of kicking off the “Black Frieza” arc with significant damage orchestrated by the villain.
Dragon Ball Super Chapter 100 will be released on December 20. Fans can read previous episodes of Dragon Ball Super on Viz.com.
