Link from The Legend of Zelda transforms itself into a Hyrule version of Chainsaw Man in an epic crossover between Tears of the Kingdom and Chainsaw Man.
On Twitter, artist @/Sath_x illustrated an interesting scenario of Link using his new fusion ability on a familiar weapon in a strange way. The weapon in question is the Zonai Chainsaw, which doesn’t exist in Tears of the Kingdom, but it is part of the game’s vast arsenal. After merging the chainsaw with his right arm, Link becomes the Chainsaw Fuse! The link wastes all Moblins all over Hyrule in the second artwork.
Creative artwork by anime fans
These illustrations aren’t the first time Legend of Zelda fans have created fun crossover fan art with other anime series. One artist took a bold Mobile Suite Gundam meme and applied it to the creative thinking that Tears of the Kingdom players went through when developing their virtual constructions. Additionally, light novel artist Susumu Kuroi celebrated the game’s release by illustrating the impressive rendition of the main cast. Of course, Link takes center stage as he uses his new arm abilities to conquer the challenges ahead.
Chainsaw Man fans are just as enthusiastic as Zelda fans. While the fandom is disappointed by the lack of news about Chainsaw Man Season 2 from anime studio MAPPA, that hasn’t stopped them from continuing their creative work. One fan brought Makima to life in the character’s haunting cosplay, while another fan reimagined her as part of the Courage the Cowardly Dog cast.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the latest installment in Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda series. Released six years after Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom follows Princess Zelda and her swordsman Link as they attempt to rebuild the kingdom of Hyrule following the end of the Ganon Calamity. However, the sudden revival of the Demon King, Ganondorf, once again endangers the vast world of Hyrule. In the game, Link explores familiar territory while soaring into the sky above and diving into the unknown below.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is currently only available on Nintendo Switch.
