Chapter 139 of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man — “A Chair’s Feelings” — opens by answering questions left over from the previous installment. The stranger who introduces himself to Denji as the Sword Demon reveals that he is a hybrid under Makima’s control and was part of the final battle between the Demon Control and the Chainsaw Man.
