Chainsaw Man Chapter 131 Summary
Chapter 131 of Chainsaw Man premieres on May 30, with a two-week break before the sequel to the hit series. The latest chapter, “Taste of crap”, follows up from the rest of the prologue at the climax of Chapter 130, in which Denji and Asa are nearly devoured by a giant demon. They go straight into the creature’s mouth in the newly released chapter before being vomited up by the nameless demon. In a fit of rage, the Falling Devil killed the monster for not appreciating his meal.
Later, The Falling Devil returns and apologizes to Fami, the mastermind behind the plot to devour Asa. Fami then orders her to return, and The Falling Devil transforms into a small dummy resembling her original form. Later, readers discovered that Nayuta was present and forced the unnamed demon to vomit Asa and Denji by convincing them that human flesh tasted like “crap”. Fami reveals that she performed this act in hopes of controlling the War Fiend, as she was the only one capable of stopping Nostradamus’ Prophecy that would flood the world with Demons.
The Chainsaw Man Manga is in the Second Arc
Chainsaw Man is currently in the second main part, called the “Academy” story. The series still ranks as one of the most popular animation productions in the industry, with Studio MAPPA’s 2022 anime helping to boost its appeal. This happened despite reports from the company’s CEO that it had fallen below expectations. The Denji story has continued to inspire fan art and cosplay, with a recent Makima costume showing the Demon of Control in action. There is no official confirmation for Chainsaw Man Season 2 at the time of writing.
Studio MAPPA’s cartoons are available to watch on Crunchyroll. Fans can read the manga through VIZ Media’s website.
