What Happened In Chainsaw Man Chapter 129
Chapter 129 follows directly from the previous season, ending with a spoiler after a fake Chainsaw Man appears and tasked Denji with surviving the demons with Asa until sunrise. The pair are then attacked by large tentacles as they jump through a doorway to return to Earth. Yoru, the Demon of War, then tried to convince Asa to finish the downed Chainsaw Man, but instead used her blood to revive him and asked him to save her a again when another tentacle attacks.
From there, the two run away from their assailant, and Asa convinces Denji to steal a motorbike. He first refused because the rider was a woman and he didn’t want to steal from them, but then agreed after Asa pointed out a bicycle was being driven by a man. Asa then transformed the bike into a “Super Chainsaw Man Motorcycle”, helping them escape.
Chainsaw Man is currently in its second major story, called the “Academy Saga”. This installment follows the “Public Safety” story, which sees Denji – the famous Chainsaw Man – make a pact with his ferocious dog Pochita and fall into the clutches of the mysterious Makima. “Academy Saga” shifts the focus to a troubled high school student named Asa, who signs a contract with the Demon of War. This demon uses his new vessel to try to destroy his arch-nemesis, the Chainsaw Man.
Fujimoto’s series was adapted into an anime in 2022 with support from Studio MAPPA. The anime is available to watch on Crunchyroll.
