Let's start with Wyss's introduction as she welcomes Jess and Mr. Pig arrives at the royal capital. While they had to endure many hardships, I am glad that this lovely woman welcomed them.
Oh By the way, it seems like the entrance to the royal capital has been sealed off to prevent Yethma hunters from entering. It would be a tragedy if they massacred the entire Yethma race in one go.
With that said, it's time for Jess and Mr. Pig must take a bath and rest a bit. I mean, they're too tired to see the king right now.
But yeah, it's nice that they have a place to stay as Jess and Mr. Pig is having a sweet time together in the bathroom. With that said, let's meet the mysterious king.
But first, it's time to meet the other characters and while Jess and Mr. Pig met Wyss, they met a man named Shravis, son of Wyss.
And here is the King of Mesteria named Eavis, who reveals himself to be a magician descended from Lady Vatis. Basically, all the Yethmas living in the royal capital are descendants of magicians from the dark ages.
In fact, the silver necklaces they wore before entering the royal capital actually served as tools to restrain not only their magic but also their egos.
By the way, King Eavis asked Jess to join the royal family because she survived the hardship to reach the capital, although that would not have been possible without Mr. Pig and Naut.
So yes, about the origin of Yethmas? Well, King Eavis explained to Mr. Pig that the reason for their existence was because back then, wizards were at war with each other until Lady Vatis decided to put silver necklaces on the living wizards, where both Their egos and magic were both sealed.
Thus, these magicians became slaves to humans where they could no longer show arrogance or challenge their masters. But things got worse when male Yethmas existed like Shravis, those who were not of royal blood were mostly executed because they might rebel against humans or even the king Present.
The same goes for the treatment of female Yethmas as they are forced to wear silver necklaces for fear of magical childbirth. It is troubling that the Yethma and the magicians are treated so horribly because those living in the royal capital fear that history may repeat itself.
One last thing, King Eavis told Mr. Pig that he will turn him back into a human. But there is a catch: the king will have to kill the pig for the soul to return to its original body. This means that Mr. Pig will return to Japan if he accepts the king's deal, but it will be a 50/50 chance of success in the ritual. But if Mr. Pig refuses the king's offer, his original body in Japan will die forever, meaning Mr. Pig will be stuck in the pig's body forever.
Thinking back, I wonder. Could more chabirones like Naut be executed once their role in bringing Yethma to the royal capital is over? However, it is cruel that Mr. Pig is forced to choose between staying with Jess as a pig, or returning to the modern world as a human who could have a difficult life there. After all, he and Jess worked together to reach their destination, only for the king to tell Mr. Pig about the conditions for returning to human form after death.
Will Mr. Pig accept the king's offer or leave it, his decision will change his life, I hope that he will not regret making a life-changing decision for me I'll see you again in the final episode.
