Warning: Spoilers for Boruto chapter: Two Blue Vortex #2 Only fans who have seen the movie Boruto anime may know the truth behind the mysterious new Uzuhiko Rasengan that appeared at the end of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter #2 and why the hero was so successful in mastering this version of the iconic attack . Boruto’s success can be entirely attributed to Kakashi, a character who is surprisingly absent throughout the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga but appears in several related “bonus” episodes of the anime.
After Code suddenly attacked Konoha, Boruto suddenly appeared to save Sarada from the villain. A fight quickly ensued and soon Boruto announced the name of a new attack called Rasengan Uzuhiko at the end of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter #2. Although he appears to be surrounded by Wind chakra or aura, he does not have a Rasengan in hand, meaning it may be a variation of his signature Vanishing Rasengan, which is based on Lightning Release. In other words, the Uzuhiko Rasengan could be a combination of the Vanishing Rasengan and the Style: Rasengan that Boruto tried (and failed) to master in the anime under Kakashi’s guidance.
Kakashi helped Boruto develop his new Rasengan
In episode #168 of the anime Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Boruto undergoes training with Kakashi to improve his Rasegan, which he failed in a previous battle and as a result he feels responsible for Mitsuki’s injury. When Boruto showed Kakashi his Vanishing Rasegan, Kakashi revealed that it used Thunder chakra and, since it was incomplete, suggested Boruto try incorporating Wind chakra into the Rasengan instead. However, this technique is incomplete and it lacks the incredible destructive power that Naruto’s Wind Rasengan has.
However, the appearance of Rasengan Uzuhiko in Two Blue Vortex suggests that Boruto may have attempted to complete what Kakashi told him was an incomplete jutsu and then combine it with other Rasengan. In the anime, Boruto has been shown using two different nature transformations at the same time thanks to his Shadow Clones, so this could be a natural progression. Since Two Blue Vortex takes place three years after the final chapter of Naruto Next Generations, it’s very possible that Boruto used those three years to complete the Vanishing Rasengan and then combine it with his Style: Rasengan, but this is impossible. without Kakashi.
Rasengan Uzuhiko should be the result of Kakashi from the Boruto Anime, but not the Manga
Unfortunately, the training under Kakashi only took place in the anime, so it’s highly unlikely that Two Blue Vortex will attempt to explain the true origin of the attack. Are there any instances of this where the manga has no choice but to conveniently avoid what it embarrassingly ignores but the anime glosses over. As a result, only anime viewers will be able to fully enjoy some specific plot lines, including the important role that Sumire may play in this sequel. For those who haven’t seen it yet Boruto anime, hopefully Boruto: Two Blue Vortex will at least mention Kakashi’s role in helping develop the new anime Rasengan Uzuhikoif this happens.
